Damien Gallagher has spent over two decades in software and product delivery, working at every level, from hands-on teams to enterprise portfolios, and across organisations of every size, from small SME development studios to Fortune 500 enterprises.

His career began in engineering and lean manufacturing, where he developed a deep understanding of value flow and process optimisation. He then transitioned into the video games and middleware industry, co-founding studios, shipping titles on multiple platforms, and leading production teams through complex, time-boxed delivery challenges.

A decade ago, Damien moved into financial services, specialising in enterprise agile transformation at Tata Consultancy Services/Pramerica, working as a coach with many companies such as Prudential Financial, Standard Life, Allianz and Aegon. There, he coached teams, programmes, and leadership groups on Scrum, Kanban, and scaled approaches, becoming an ICAgile-accredited trainer, co-designing 5 accredited courses and delivering 33 two-day classes to over 500 trainees globally, with several courses ranked in the top global cohorts for learner satisfaction.

In 2024 he joined Fidelity Investments Asset Management Agile CoE and primarily coached their architecture business group.

His approach is grounded in systems thinking, lean principles, and data-driven decision-making, personally building custom Power BI dashboards to make more visible throughput forecasting and constraint analysis, and designing tailored Kanban frameworks to deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Since mid-2025, Damien has been expanding Mullagher Ltd. by developing several AI-enabled B2B and B2C SaaS products, and offering consulting services that draw on everything he has learned across two decades of helping teams deliver end to end, full vertical stack, and at multiple levels throughout and across organisations.

In his spare time over the last few years, Damien spends his time authoring agility focused books that are nearing release. Watch this space!
